Day 20 – Casper to Lusk, Wyoming

107 miles, 2802 feet climbed

Several riders remarked that today seemed harder than expected, perhaps due to yesterday’s day off. Headwinds for most of the day did not help. We made it into Lusk in time for their annual parade, a loosely organized affair.

First Prairie Dog sighting
We spent some time on I-25 on the way to Douglas, WY
Junk off of I-25. Notably, while putting my camera away, I noticed a wire stuck in my rear tire and removed it before it could give me a flat.

Coal as far as the eye can see!
Near the front of the Lusk parade
Bringing up the rear. A big part of the parade is the tossing of candy to the crowd.
